Congressman Loebsack to testify in front of House Bbudget Committee on President Obama’s FY10 disast

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Dave Loebsack will testify in front of the House Budget Committee. During the hearing, Congressman Loebsack will be testifying on disaster recovery issues, emphasizing the need to budget for additional disaster relief efforts in Iowa and other states.

While the previous administration submitted budgets that did not account for disaster relief, President Obama’s budget includes provisions to account for recovery costs of states stricken by natural disasters. Congressman Loebsack will emphasize the need for more action, noting that the Second District incurred billions in damages.
